query data from SD, from /storage/3565-3631/my_photo.jpg

0

up until now I thought I finally understood that file storage system (which in my Opinion is kind of messed up in Android), BUT now I found a new problem:

I am developping an app which is dependant on photos on a SD card. So now I found out that some phones, like the Galaxy Xcover 4, create a folder which an identifier to the SD card you use. So for every SD card it is different.

That means I cannot query as I would usually do:

 public Bitmap displayPictureFromExternalStorage(String pictureLocator){
return BitmapFactory.decodeFile(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory.toString()
+ File.seperator + pictureLocator;
}

This returns something like

/storage/emulated/0/my_picture

But actually my photo is located here:

/storage/3565-3631/my_picture.JPG

So please help me, is there a way how I can query the right photo without hardcoding the created SDcard Folder (in this case 2565-3631). I want the app to work with all phones. Thank you!
