I am trying to register the GitLab Runner on Windows v10 with architecture x64. I have followed the steps of this manual:

  1. Download the gitlab-runner.exe binary

  2. Copy the file to C:Gitlab-Runner

  3. Run as administrator the command .gitlab-runner.exe register to register url and token

The problem is that I get this error on the console. I have tried in the CMD default console and the Power Shell, both with the same result

PS C:Program FilesGitlab-Runner> .gitlab-runner.exe register
[31mFATA[0m[0000] could not parse electron-builder as bool value for flag debug: strconv.ParseBool: parsing "electron-builder": invalid syntax

  • Is anything wrong with this executable file or the latest version?

  • Should I use an older version of GitLab Runner?

  • Am I missing anything? Should I place the file in other path? Is there any other requirement?

Update

I have written an issue in the gitlab-runner project
