Python: Error! Setting an array element with a sequence

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
I = np.array([[0,1],[-1,0]])
n = 1
def euler_1(initP, change):
slope = I * initP
return initP + (change * slope)
def euler_2(N, u):
xRange = np.arange(0, 10*np.pi, 2*np.pi/N)
eulerApprox = np.zeros(len(xRange)+1)
change = xRange[1] - xRange[0]
eulerApprox[0] = u
for x in xRange:
eulerApprox[n] = euler_1(eulerApprox[n-1], change)
return eulerApprox
When I put this into my jupyter notebook with:
N1 = 700
plot((ode.euler_2(N1, np.array([1, 0]))), N1, "Euler's Method")
it gives me the error that I cannot set an array element with a sequence?

eulerApproxis a 1d array, soeulerApprox[n]is one slot that holds a float. What does theeuler_1(...)call produce? You don't tell us which line produces the error, but that appears to be the most likely one.
