An example for a probability distribution which is not a multinomial distribution

As far as I know, multinomial distribution is a probability function over a random variable that takes multiple values.

My doubt is that are there any probability distributions which are not multinomial?

My idea: Suppose the sample space is a singleton set, then only it is possible.

If a probability function is defined over a random variable, which takes a single value. Then it is an example of such a probability distribution.

Is my idea correct?

  • I can understand every single word here but I cannot understand the whole question as a whole lol... There are infinitely many distribution and you just want 1 distribution example that is not multinomial?

  • Yeah, I need an example in which a probability distribution is not multinomial

  • Say you want a multivariate distribution, then you pick multivariate normal / multi hypergeometric/ etc...

  • I need a simple example. With random variables and their values etc.,
