I've got the following excersice:




Find if the following function has some minima or maxima:
$$W(x,y)=frac{12xy-x^2y^2}{2(x+y)} text{ with } x,y>0 $$




Well, I tried to find the critical points of the function, but the partial derivatives just get worse. So I want to know if there's another way to find out without using the second-order derivative.
