I would like to ask if it's possible to make a part of the slider disable ?
Which will look like :

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/icon?family=Material+Icons">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://code.getmdl.io/1.3.0/material.indigo-pink.min.css">
<script defer src="https://code.getmdl.io/1.3.0/material.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<input type="range" min="172" max="400" value="400" class="mdl-slider mdl-js-slider " id="range1">In this exemple, the slider will start at 0 but in the range of 0 to 172 we can't access it, so the new minimum is 172.
Maybe I need to use a second slider ?
EDIT :
I found an example for jquery ui.
$('#slider').slider({
value: 50,
range: false,
slide: function(event, ui) {
if(ui.value > 75 && ui.value <= 100){
return false;
}
if(ui.value >= 0 && ui.value <= 25){
return false;
}
}
});h1 {
font-family: Helvetica, Arial;
font-weight: bold;
font-size: 18px;
}
body, p{
font-family: Helvetica, Arial;
}<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/ui/1.11.4/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.14/themes/base/jquery-ui.css">
