Calculate the weight of all edges connecting two nodes

Given a tree with N nodes, where each edge of the tree is weighted with W(i).
I need to find an algorithm in O(n) time to accumulate the weights of all edges linking two given nodes u and v.



I know this is related to DFS, but I am stuck in creating the algorithm.
Any help would be appreciated!
