Make Wordpress multisite searchable
I have developed an ‘online regional magazine’ in the form of a Wordpress Website.
The different regions are the different sites (currently only 2) in the multisite network.
There’s 8 Custom Post Types that each have their custom archive and single page.
I set these up using Advanced Custom Fields for the back and front end.
Because it is an online magazine new posts for each Post Type get published twice a week.
I want to make the whole site searchable and have tried that using and customising the search.php and search-form.php but none of the online resources so far have done anything.
Am I missing something, setting up the Custom Post Type to make it searchable or it it some other problem anyone can help me with?
Making all sites in the network searchable in one function would be amazing but just making each site searchable would also be a starting point.
You can check out factor70.roxtest.nl and please let me know if you have any helpful resources. Thanks!
