get additional message information in azure function with python (triggered by eventhub message)
I have a azure function running with python. It is triggered by an incoming message from iothub/eventhub.
To access the message body I write in function code:
receivedBody = str(open(environ['myEventHubMessage']).read())
my bindings look as follows:
{
"bindings": [
{
"type": "eventHubTrigger",
"name": "myEventHubMessage",
"path": "samples-workitems",
"consumerGroup": "nonDefault_1",
"connection": "xyz_events_IOTHUB",
"cardinality": "one",
"direction": "in"
}

Is there a way to get the deviceId, message-properties direct (like the receivedBody) ?
something like:
deviceId = str(open(environ['deviceId']).read())
properties = str(open(environ['properties']).read())
