R save kmeans algorithm into a file

I created a clustering algorithm in R using the kmeans() function. I am using this algorithm along with the cl_predict() function in the clue package to label data with the predicted groups.
I want to upload my functions that include creating the cluster labels to GitHub to create a package I can share. However, I don't know how to save the clustering algorithm. I don't want to this algorithm to continually update, just to save this exact algorithm. What would be the best way to save the algorithm as a file and then reload it into R to use again?

Save the script as an .R file and save the fitted model as an .RData file usingsave()
