I had a look at OAuth authentication in jira by using Java. I already generated my private key etc. I managed it to login it via oAuth with JavaScript and Python. But for a project I need to do it with Java. I am creating an Atlassian Confluence Add-on.

JS

const request= require('request');
const fs=require('fs');
let privateKeyData = fs.readFileSync('templates/thefile','utf-8');
const oauth =
{ consumer_key: 'c-key'
, consumer_secret: privateKeyData
, token: 'mytoken'
, token_secret: 'mysecret'
, signature_method : 'RSA-SHA1'
};

request.get({url:'URL OF THE API', oauth:oauth, qs:null, json:true}, function (e, r, user) {
console.log(user)
});

Can someone point me please to an up-to-date version of the log in process with Java? Everything I find is outdated and not working. I looked also at https://bitbucket.org/atlassian_tutorial/atlassian-oauth-examples/src/3f0d22c5b1d8749fae6f05aa3556ca8ac3724b5a/java/src/main/java/com/atlassian/oauth/client/example/?at=default but the code is outdated, they changed a lot in Jira from then. I could not get it running.

Thank you!
