How redirect sound from headset to built-in speaker or to hdmi

On my androidTv I'm trying to redirect the sound between the build-in speakers and the headphones and HDMI output.
аudioManager.setSpeakerphoneOn(true);
аudioManager.setWiredHeadsetOn(true);
does not work.
are there other ways to control audio outputs?

"Users expect to be able to control the volume of an audio app. Standard behavior includes the ability to use the volume controls (either buttons or knobs on the device or sliders in the UI), and to avoid suddenly playing out loud if a peripheral like headphones is disconnected while in use." Sample in Kotlin and Java was given there to give you an in depth overview on how to implement the function you needed.
