On-premises data gateway service is stopped after azure analysis service is paused

I have an azure analysis server which is connected to an on-premises SQL server via on-premises data gateway. Every time I pause the Azure Analysis server the on premise data gateway service stops. when I re-start the Azure Analysis server the data gateway is in a failed state. I need to go start the on prem data gateway service manually , then when I refresh in Azure it looks connected again.
anyone knows a way around this so when we pause and then start we don't have to login to on prem server and restart the data gateway service?
