Quit instruments after recording trace

0

After starting instruments from the command line like so

instruments -v -t "Counters" -l 1000 /path/to/exec --args

I get the output

instruments : 1000ms time limit specified
instruments[98475]: Loading template 'file:///Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications/Instruments.app/Contents/Resources/templates/Counters.tracetemplate'
instruments[98475]: Preparing To Start Trace
instruments[98475]: Starting Recording
instruments[98475]: Stopping Recording

But then the instruments process never terminates. How can I get it to terminate automatically?

  • Seems to be something related to the Counters template. Using -t "Time Profiler" works...
