Does Cosmos DB unnecessitate statistical counters if graph databases are used?
I need to store stats like comment counts, like counts, as well as follower/following counts. In Document DB, I'd normally create separate counter documents for each entity and update them in a deferred manner. If instead I used a graph model, how would this change anything with respect to counters? If I wanted to calculate them on the fly, would they potentially be computationally very expensive to do so?
