Multiple factors over time

0

I have been trying to plot multiple line (treatment factors) over time but it seems not to work for me. These are the codes I used...None of these code plot worked out and it is either the lines are projected vertically on the x-axis or interconnected each other which is quite difficult to interpreted.

ggplot(RE, aes(date, ground_beetle, group = Treatment, fill = Treatment)) +
geom_line(aes(colour = Treatment)) +
geom_point() +
geom_dl(aes(label = Treatment),
method = list(dl.combine("first.points", "last.points"),
cex = 0.5))

ggplot(RE, aes(x = as.factor(date), y = ground_beetle, col = Treatment)) +
geom_line() +
geom_point() +
labs(title = "Recovery of Ground beetle",
y = "Activity density",
colour = NULL)
