Add payment in Reckon/Quickbooks desktop VB.NET
I am trying to add payment in Reckon/Quickbooks desktop, tried a lot of different ways but still, I've no luck. Below is the code I've found from the Quickbooks API reference
Dim paymentAdd As IReceivePaymentAdd = requestMsgSet.AppendReceivePaymentAddRq()
paymentAdd.CustomerRef.ListID.SetValue("Code007")
Dim paymentLine As IAppliedToTxnAdd = paymentAdd.ORApplyPayment.AppliedToTxnAddList.Append()
''Set the invoice TxnID and amount of the payment to apply
paymentLine.TxnID.SetValue(12)
paymentLine.PaymentAmount.SetValue(5.50)
paymentAdd.Memo.SetValue("Comments")
paymentAdd.PaymentMethodRef.FullName.SetValue("Cash")
paymentAdd.DepositToAccountRef.FullName.SetValue("Funds to be deposited")
paymentAdd.TxnDate.SetValue(New Date())
paymentAdd.TotalAmount.SetValue(5.50))
''paymentAdd.ORApplyPayment.IsAutoApply.SetValue(False)
sessionManager.OpenConnection("My connection")
sessionManager.BeginSession("Beginning the Session")
''Send the request and get the response from QuickBooks
Dim responseMsgSet As IMsgSetResponse = sessionManager.DoRequests(requestMsgSet)
'End the session and close the connection to QuickBooks
sessionManager.EndSession()
sessionManager.CloseConnection()
Dim response As IResponse = responseMsgSet.ResponseList.GetAt(0)
Dim responseType As ENResponseType
responseType = CType(response.Type.GetValue(), ENResponseType)
'If (responseType = ENResponseType.rtReceivePaymentAddRs) Then
'End If
Dim paymentRet As IReceivePaymentRet = DirectCast(response.Detail, IReceivePaymentRet)
Now on the last line where I'm receiving the response from the quickbooks in responce.Detail, which is always empty and in the response.Message I get the following message,
A related object is already in use, or failed to acquire the lock for this object.
I am trying to import data into ReckonAccounts Enterprise 2018 and using the QBFC12 Library. Using as a single user mode and have only open the Home window inside the application.
I found one issue on stackoverflow for the payments, the code is pretty much the same but not sure why I am not able to add the payment.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
